Hill is Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week

COURTLAND—Tonee Hill of the Southampton Academy Raiders is Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week for week 5 of the football season.

The Raiders were at home this past week and outlasted the Hobgood Academy Raiders 80-60 in a barnburner.
In the victory, Hill led the team in rushing with 234 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught a pass for a touchdown.
Isle of Wight Academy’s Josh Weihe was the runner up. Weihe led the Chargers in rushing with 165 yards on 6 rushes and found pay dirt on two of those carries. He also returned an interception 54 yards for a touchdown, as the Chargers defeated Fuqua 48-20 on the road. Weihe had 15 total tackles.
