Anthony and Shannon Hacker of Courtland announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsey Megan Hacker of Courtland to Brandonn Michael Bicknell of Franklin.

The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of Senior Chief Dwight and Mrs. Sue Ann Hazard of Courtland. She is the paternal granddaughter of Lynn and Brenda Hacker of Boykins.

The groom-to-be is the son of Shawn and Shannon Bicknell of Franklin. His maternal grandparents are the Rev. Dennis and Mrs. Penny Rhoads of Franklin. Paternal grandparents are Robert Brewer of Sequin, Texas, and the late Lucy Brewer.

Chelsey graduated from Southampton High School in 2008. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She plans on attending graduate school to become a clinical psychologist.

Brandonn graduated from Franklin High School in 2010. He is a Third Class Fire Controlman in the United States Navy.

The wedding will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, at Clay Hill Gardens in Yale.
