Mr. and Mrs. John Michael Mann of Boykins are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Maggie Ashley Mann, to Mr. Robert Steven Puckette, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Alfred Puckette of Forest, Virginia.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Victor Beaton Grizzard and Mrs. Edith Bryant Grizzard and Mr. Melvin Edgar Mann, Sr. and the late Mrs. Sylvia Davis Mann. She is a 2004 graduate of Southampton High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia and earned her Master of Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University as well as her Master of Education from Union Presbyterian Seminary. She is a Support Coordinator in Richmond, VA for children experiencing Intellectual Disabilities.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eliot Duclos and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Holmes Puckette. He is a 2004 graduate of Brookville High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Virginia Tech. He is an Agricultural Chemical Sales Representative in Central Virginia.

A June wedding is planned.
