Anitra Yvonne Whitfield and Brian Anthony Gay announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cassandra Mason Whitfield and Daniel Whitfield. She is the granddaughter of Ben Mason Jr. and Trudy Whitfield, and the late Joyce Pearson Mason and Linwood Whitfield.

She is a 2007 graduate of Southampton High School.

Her fiancé is the son of Lisa Gay Whitfield and the stepson of Melvin Whitfield. He is the grandson of Harry Butler and Teresa Griffin, and the late Ernest Griffin and Rosa Lee Whitfield.

He is a 2008 graduate of Southampton High School.

They plan to marry on April 6, 2013.
