Mrs. Rhee R. Cumbey of Franklin announces the engagement of her daughter, Bradleigh Elizabeth Cumbey of Franklin to Brandon Christopher Olson of Midlothian.

The bride-to-be also is the daughter of the late Robert “Bobby” Cumbey of Franklin. She is the granddaughter of David R. Ricks Jr. and the late Arlean L. Ricks, Christine R. Cumbey and John H. Cumbey.

Her fiancé is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Olson of Midlothian. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Henry Bell of Bracey and the late Mr. and Mrs. William G. Olson of Corning, N.Y.

Both are 2011 graduates of Christopher Newport University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree and teaching, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance.

The bride-to-be is a fourth-grade teacher at Capron Elementary School.

Her fiancé is pursuing a career in professional golf and will be competing on the egolf professional tour in 2013.

A June 2013 wedding is planned.
