Jennifer Jones of Chesapeake and Jeremy Scott of South Norfolk have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Izola and Roy Jones of Marlboro, Md.

A 1995 graduate of Jenks High School in Marlboro, she received a bachelor’s degree in English literature and master’s in journalism from Oral Roberts University, and is working on her doctorate in communications at Regent University.

Her future husband’s parents are Tina and Mark Scott of Courtland.

A 1995 graduate of Rock Church School in Franklin, Scott received a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Liberty University and master’s degree in Biblical studies from Regent University, where he works as a groundskeeper.

They plan to marry in 2013 in Virginia Beach.
