Benjamin Weaver Jr. and Melissa Harris of Franklin have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ann Evans and granddaughter of the late Harry and Sarah Harris. She is the mother of Norleta and Mel’Quan Harris.

Her fiancé is the son of the late Benjamin and Ethel Weaver and grandson of the late Clara Queen. He is the father of Benjamin Onde Weaver.

The couple will marry at 4 p.m. Sept. 27, 2012, at the Franklin home of Larry and Barbara Harris.
