FRANKLIN—Rock Church School sophomore Greg Hill’s 19 goals this soccer season helped lead the junior varsity Lions to a 4-1-1 record.

“That’s a hat trick per game,” said Coach Danny Dillon.

The Lions, who include students in fifth through 10th grades, defeated Southampton Academy twice, and Isle of Wight Academy and Surry once.

“We beat Surry 5-2,” Dillon said. “The difference is we have about 10 kids in our high school and they have 300. Anytime we’re able to beat a team . . .”

Also scoring goals this season were fifth-grader Jonathan Pullen two; his brother, seventh-grader Joseph Pullen two; and sixth-grader, Trey Turner, one.
