Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Spruill of Como, N.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shirley Lee, to John Eric Rountree.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Rountree of Gates, N.C.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Ridgecroft School and a 2011 graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in natural resources. She is a quality control manager with Enviva Pellets in Ahoskie, N.C.
Her fiancé is a 2004 graduate of Gates County High School and the shop manager for Metal Tech of Murfreesboro, N.C.
A June 2, 2012, wedding is planned.
