Peter and Vicky Copeland of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Michelle, to Chadwick Darrell Casstevens.

He is the son of Homer and Shirley Casstevens of Mount Airy, N.C.

The bride-to-be graduated from Southampton High School in 2002, Virginia Tech in 2006 with a bachelor of science in human nutrition, foods and exercise, and Appalachian College of Pharmacy with a doctorate of pharmacy in 2009. She is a pharmacist at Walmart in Kernersville, N.C.

Her future husband graduated from Surry Central High School in 2002, Pfeiffer University in 2006 with a bachelor of arts in social studies education, and Appalachian School of Law in 2010 with a juris doctor degree. He is practicing law at Casstevens and Casstevens in Dobson, N.C.

The couple is planning a wedding on June 23, 2012, in Surry.
