Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ronald Panissidi of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth, to Jonathan Ivan Jefferson.

He is the son of Cheryl Lynn Grulkowski of Franklin and Jessie Jefferson Jr. of Norfolk.

The bride-to-be graduated from Franklin High School and Virginia Wesleyan College in 2011 with a bachelor of arts in history with a minor in psychology. She is an in-home training specialist at the Virginia Independent Training Organization.

Her fiancé attended Norview High School and is a sales associate with Radio Shack.

A May 2012 wedding is planned at the Norfolk Botanical Garden in Norfolk.
