Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Lewis Jr. of Franklin have announced the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth, to Justin Allen Chavis of Suffolk.

He is the son of Lisa and Glenn Branchaud of Suffolk and the late David Chavis.
An early October wedding is planned in Virginia Beach.
