SEDLEY—Sedley Hunt Club will host its second Kids Day on Saturday, March 3.

The rain date is March 10.

During last year’s debut event at the club, more than 60 participated in BB gun and archery shooting competitions and deer-dragging and tracking competitions. Guns and bows will be provided.

Hunt club member Steve Eure expects 60 to 100 to participate this year. As of Wednesday, 17 had signed up, “which is a lot higher than last year at this time,” he said.

The cost is $20 per child and $10 for each additional child in a family. The fee covers lunch, which will include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, who can have lunch for $5.

Competitions are divided into age groups: 4 to 6 years old, 7 to 9, 10 to 12 and 13 to 15. Trophies will be given to the winner of each competition for each age group.

Trophies for best sportsmanlike conduct will be awarded to one person in each age group.

A gun raffle and miscellaneous raffles will be held.

Competitions will be monitored by adults, and safety will be emphasized.

For information, directions or to sign up, Eure can be reached at 562-5162 or 641-8116.
