Mr. and Mrs. David Owen of Wakefield announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Owen, to Brandon Seward, son of Rita and Russell Tanner of Wakefield, and Beverly Alvin Seward III of Surry.

The bride-to-be is a 2011 graduate of Radford University and expects to receive her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Old Dominion University in the summer of 2013. Her future husband is a 2010 graduate of Radford University and is an employee of Wakefield Farm Service.
The couple is planning an Aug. 17 wedding in Nags Head, N.C.
