Jonathan Brown Edwards and Sandra Hubbard Edwards of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah “Kaitlin” Edwards, to Benjamin Thomas Gibson.

He is the son of Elvin Gibson Jr. and Susan Amodeo Gibson of Drexel Hill, Pa.
The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of the late Harvey Johnson Hubbard and the late Dorothy Owen Hubbard. She is the paternal granddaughter of Nell Edwards of Pendleton, N.C., and the late William “Bill” Edwards.
A 2006 graduate of Nansemond Suffolk Academy, the bride-to-be earned a bachelor’s of science in education in 2010 from Lynchburg College and is employed by the Suffolk Public School System. She resides in Virginia Beach.
Her future husband is the paternal grandson of the late Elvin Gibson Sr. and the late Norma Jean Gibson Coyle. He is the maternal grandson of Charlene Amodeo of Crown Point, Ind., and the late John Amodeo.
A 2004 graduate of Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill, he is serving in the U.S. Navy.
The couple will marry May 19, 2012, in Virginia Beach.
