Donnie and Debra Baines of Capron have announced the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Baines, to Salem Copty.

The bride-to-be lives in Norfolk and will complete her master’s degree in mental health counseling in 2013 at Old Dominion University.
Her fiancé lives in Newport and will complete his master’s degree in accounting and information systems in May from Virginia Tech.
No wedding date has been set.
