Allison Hassell and Calen Fretts have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Sandy and Scott Hassell of Niceville, Fla. Her grandparents are Ann and Jim Dallman of Niceville, Bertie Hassell of Pensacola, Fla., and the late Juanita Hassell.

Her fiancé is the son of Jill Zimmerman of Seagrove, Fla., and Tom Fretts of Courtland. His grandparents are Patricia and Ronald Fretts of Scottdale, Pa., and Nancy and George Caler of Aliquippa, Pa.

The future Mrs. Fretts graduated from Niceville Senior High School in 2006 and The University of Central Florida, Orlando, in 2010, where she majored in political science.

Her fiancé graduated from Southampton Academy in 2003 and Virginia Tech in 2008, where he studied computer science. He owns Alpha Web Presence, a web development company.

The couple plans to marry on May 26, 2012.
