Davis wins silver medal

ASHLAND—Franklin High School Tennis Coach Frank Davis won a silver medal during the 33rd Annual Virginia Senior Games at various locations in Richmond over the weekend.

Athletes ages 50 and up participated in various athletic and non-athletic activities sponsored by the Virginia Recreation & Parks Society.

Participating in men’s singles at the Randolph-Macon College, Davis lost in the final round in an 8-point pro set, 3-8 to James Johnson of Richmond. Davis, 64, is also the director for Franklin Parks & Recreation.
