ISLE OF WIGHT—The Isle of Wight Academy softball team defeated Tidewater Academy 7-4 Monday.

Hailey Glover picked up the win, while Taylor Warner was saddled with the loss.

IWA scored two runs in the first inning, two each in the third and fourth, and one run in the sixth on 11 total hits. TA scored two runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh on nine hits.

IWA’s Diane Davis went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, a walk and a run scored. Kenzie Conner went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

TA’s Cary Beahm went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Falon Williams went 2-for-4.

TA’s record drops to 9-6 on the year and 6-3 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.
