Bill and Lisa Turner of Capron and Sandy Turner of Franklin have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lucy Turner, to Cory Little.

The bride-to-be is the paternal granddaughter of the late Marks and Lucy Turner and Romine Turner. She is the maternal granddaughter of Jean Newsome of Franklin and the late Rudolph Newsome.

A 2005 graduate of Southampton High School, she received a degree in nursing in 2009 from Lynchburg College. She is a registered nurse at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin.

Her fiancé is the son of Tracy Hassell and her husband, Donald Hassell, and grandson of Lewis and Sandy Little of Smithfield.

He attended James River Christian Academy. After high school, he graduated from Southside Regional Fire Academy, Class 32. He is an emergency medical technician with Lifestar Ambulance Service.

The couple will marry on June 11, 2011, with a honeymoon to follow in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The couple will reside in Courtland.
