Mr. and Mrs. Keith G. Barrett of Zuni are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Dana Marie to Bryan Thomas Ferguson, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.T. Ferguson of Severn, N.C.

The bride-to-be is the maternal granddaughter of Leatha E. Whitley of Sedley and the late Julian L. Whitley and the paternal granddaughter of the late Emmit and Mildred Barrett.

She is a 2009 graduate of Chowan University and employed with Meredith-Webb Printing Co. in Burlington, N.C.

Her fiancé is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Baugham and the paternal grandson of Frances Ferguson Porter of Boykins and the late Lewis Ferguson.

A U.S. military veteran who served in Iraq, he is a student at Wake Tech.

The wedding is planned for May 14, 2011.
