COURTLAND—Southampton Academy’s girls defeated Kenston Forest 31-28 on Thursday night.
The win pleased Coach Chris Pope, whose Lady Raiders lost by 20 during an earlier meeting with Kenston Forest.
“So losing to them by 20 and being at home and winning by 3, we felt like we improved a little bit,” Pope said. “It was a close game and when it came down to the stretch, we did what we had to do to win. It was a good win for us.”
Senior Catherine Glover led with 15 points for SA.
