Myrick retires from senior center

FRANKLIN—Staff of Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia and seniors at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center attended a retirement luncheon for Joyce Myrick on Wednesday.

Myrick worked for Senior Services for 18 years at the King Center.

Cynthia Creede, director of Wellness & Transportation, made a presentation to Myrick, thanking her for her years of service.

Also making presentations were Center Director Alice Whitehead, Lula Barnes on behalf of the Oak Street seniors and Evelyn Blick on behalf of Franklin Parks & Recreation.
