Kelly C. Makoske

Courtland – Kelly Paige Carpenito Makoske, 45, joined her beloved father, Pat Carpenito, in heaven following her long and courageous battle with cancer on June 17, 2010 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC. Born in Franklin, Kelly was a graduate of Southampton High School, received her Associate’s Degree in Business from Paul D. Camp Community College and was a realtor for William E. Wood and Associates. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Kelly’s involvement in Cancer Relay for over 10 years was a reflection of her loving and compassionate side. No one knew of her own constant daily struggle with cancer. She was a beautiful and giving person to all she knew and loved. Kelly brightened any room with her big smile, her signature laugh and kind words to everyone. She truly lived her life the way others could only dream.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Suzette B. Carpenito; her husband, Daniel J. Makoske; three sisters, Lisa Carpenito (Todd), Stacey Carpenito, and Toni Carpenito (Eric); one niece, Kendall; and two nephews, Reed and Dane.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Monday, June 21, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery in Courtland with the Rev. James W. Browder, III, officiating.
