Margie M. Ritter
Franklin– Margie McFall Ritter, 88, widow of William Alexander Ritter, and longtime resident of Allentown, Pa, departed this life May 18, 2010 at the East Pavilion. She was born in Hickory, NC, and raised in Vale, NC, a daughter of the late Iris McFall and Marjorie Miller McFall, and was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Joy Anthony. She was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II and was retired from the Allentown Public School System.
Mrs. Ritter was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and confirmation classes. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking for church functions, and helping others.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons, Thomas Dale Ritter (Maxine), James Edward Ritter (Eileen), all of Courtland, Va and Dennis Carl Ritter (Debbie) of Wescosville, PA.; seven grandchildren, Trichelle Moxley, Jeannette Ricks, Thomas, Andrew, Nathan, and Zachary Ritter, and Brian Skinner; an adopted granddaughter, Mary Maritza of South America; eight great-grandchildren, Benny and Ashtyn Ricks, Elle and Trystyn Moxley, Jackson Ritter, Amber Skinner, Garrett and Gannon Ritter; a sister-in-law, Louise McFall of Charlotte, NC; and two nephews, Gene and Joe Templeton of Hickory, NC.
Mrs. Ritter spent her last four years at the East Pavilion where the nursing personnel were both friendly and most helpful while assisting her in daily living. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6350 Center Drive, Ste. 102, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 am Saturday, May 22, 2010 at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 E. Juniata Street, Allentown, PA., with Pastor John Brndjar officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown. Viewing will be at 10:00 am at K. V. Knopp Funeral Home. Wright Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
