Bessie A. White
SUFFOLK—Bessie A. White died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Southampton County and the owner/operator of White Grocery. She was a member of O’Berry A.M.E. Zion Church in Franklin, where she was on the Usher Board and Missionary Circle.
Survivors include her son, Linwood L. White Jr. of Franklin.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at O’Berry A.M.E. Zion Church in Franklin officiated by the Rev. Dale Seaborne. Entombment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
