Roma W. Bradshaw
FRANKLIN—Roma Worrell Bradshaw, 88, widow of Leo Bradshaw, died December 20, 2009, at Sentara Obici Hospital.
She was born in Southampton County, the only child of Luther and Minnie Pope Worrell.
Mrs. Bradshaw was also predeceased by a son, Raymond Bradshaw and three grandchildren, Tonya Sue Blount, Calvin Blount, and Melvin Dunlow Jr.
She was a longtime employee of Rose’s Department Store.
Mema’s survivors include three daughters, Linda Alaniz (Ben) of California, Carolyn Bradshaw of Carrsville, June Bradshaw of Franklin; three sons, Frankie Bradshaw of Carrsville, Kenny Bradshaw (Shelby) and Buck Bradshaw, both of Courtland, thirteen grandchildren, Theresa Bryant (Frank), Deborah Fowler, Eileen Chavez, Nan Whitehurst (Mike), George Bradshaw, Jr. (Linda), Wanda Story (Glenn), Amy Johnson, Kevin Bradshaw, Becky Bradshaw, Tiffany Bradshaw, Brittney Bradshaw, Stephaine Bradshaw, Courtney Bradshaw; eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and her pet, “Buddy.”
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jason Wise officiating.
The family received friends at Wright Funeral Home Tuesday.
