Sonia T. Taylor
NORFOLK—Sonia Terese Taylor, 52, died July 19, 2009, at her residence.
She was born March 6, 1957, to the late Lula Odessa and Willie L. Saunders in Franklin.
She was a member of Advent Church of God in Christ, Chesapeake, where she was a nurse and praise dance coach and president.
She was also a member of the Christian Women’s Counsel. She was employed as a bookkeeper for US Foodservice.
Survivors include her four daughters, Tywana Katrina Taylor, Ashley Ricole Dixon, Brittney Nicole Dixon and Quintia Nasha Dixon; two sons, Christopher James Gregory and Unique Tyquan Dixon; three sisters-in-law, Renee H. Ford, Joy Q. Saunders and Cassandra T. Saunders; three brothers, George R. Ford, Robert A. Saunders and Troy M. Saunders; four grandchildren, Isaiah Jamal Taylor, Sonia Terese Taylor, Deshawn Emanual Taylor and Ceara Leniha Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Metropolitan Funeral Service, 7246 Granby St. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
Family and friends will assemble at 7928 Old Ocean View Road one hour prior to service for procession to the chapel.
