Hazel R. Vasoti
FRANKLIN—Hazel Raptis Vasoti, 101, died June 9, 2009.
Born in Greece, daughter of the late Costa and Maria Raptis, she was the youngest child, having three sisters and five brothers, all of whom predeceased her.
She was predeceased by husband, John, and an infant son, Nick.
Survivors include her son, James J. Vasoti (wife Nora) of Franklin; two granddaughters, Denise V. Tinkham (husband Jeff) of Norfolk and Susan V. Ward (husband Ken) of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Spencer Tinkham, Clay Tinkham, Boyce Ward, Lenora Ward, and several nieces and nephews in the US and Greece. She had a special fondness for her nephew Nick Zegrea (wife Alice) of Winston Salem, N.C. and grandnieces Annie Stanley of Mineral Wells, W.Va. and Zoeitsa Robberson of Marietta, Ohio.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in Parkersburg, W.Va. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
The family wishes to express its appreciation to the staff of the East Pavilion (East) for providing excellent care of her during her eight years there.
