Cartrena R. Neal
RICHMOND—Cartrena Renee Neal, 30, died May 22, 2009, at Memorial Regional Hospital.
She was born April 13, 1979, at Southside Community Hospital, Farmville.
She was the daughter of Deloris Neal and Horace Turner.
She received her education through Sussex County Public Schools. She was employed by V-Dot Transportation until she moved.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Waverly, where she served as an usher.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Keyona Neal, brother, Ricky Turner, and grandfathers, James Neal and John Horace Turner.
Survivors include two sons, Perrion Neal, Rayquan Stith; and one daughter, Iyonnie Allen, all of Richmond; her mother, Deloris Neal and father Horace Turner (Britton); one brother, Devonta Neal and one sister, Kenoria Neal, both of Petersburg; her loving and devoted grandmothers Helen Neal of Petersburg and Minnie Turner of Waverly; two step-sisters, Brittany Hamlin and Tamekia Hamlin, both of Jarratt; eight uncles, Leroy Turner, Leslie Turner, Edward Turner (Yvonne), Linwood Turner (Lucy), Joseph Turner, all of Waverly, Wilbert Turner (Sheila) of Richmond, Ernest Turner of Waverly and Willis Spencer of Baltimore, Md.; three aunts, Patricia Neal and Robin Neal of Petersburg and Adrienne Turner of Waverly; one great-uncle, Tom William, and one great-aunt, Chestina Hodge, both of Charlotte County; two nephews, Kewon Neal and Keshan Spratley, both of Petersburg; a host of cousins and friends, out of the many cousins, two devoted, Tashauna Donn and Sherrelle Neal.
A funeral service was conducted Thursday at First Baptist Church, Waverly.
The interment was at Waverly Cemetery. The funeral will be eulogized by Pastor Samuel Robinson.
William N. Bland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
