John A. Sanford
COMO, N.C.—John Albert Sanford, 83, a native of Hertford County, died Oct. 19, 2008, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Sandford of Como; one son, John A. Sandford of Como; two daughters, Shirley Sandford and Eddie Deloatch, both of Murfreesboro, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Como, by the Rev. Johnny Worrell.
Burial will be in the family cemetery.
A wake will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
