Bon Secours Hampton Roads announced that TowneBank has provided a $500,000 donation in support of the new Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center. Bon Secours are celebrating the donation for the three-story, 98,000-square-foot hospital currently under construction as a “momentous occasion” for the residents of Northern Suffolk and Western Hampton Roads. The medical center will be a state-of-the-art facility constructed to meet the community’s continued demand for hospital and surgical services.
The center will bring 18 private medical/surgical patient rooms and four operating rooms to the facility’s existing services, including a 15-bed emergency department, advanced imaging capabilities, and on-site lab services.
In a statement, Pat Davis-Hagens, Bon Secours Hampton Roads Market President, expressed her gratitude for the substantial donation.
“This generous contribution marks a significant milestone for our ministry and the communities of northern Suffolk and western Hampton Roads,” Davis-Hagens said. “The impact of this donation will be felt directly by the residents of this community, who will now have greater access to advanced healthcare closer to home, making a lasting difference in their wellness journey.”
Dawn Glynn, President & Chief Experience Officer, Corporate Services Group, at TowneBank, expressed the importance of Bon Secours’ work within the community.
“We are honored to make this investment in the Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center and applaud Bon Secours Hampton Roads for seeing and acting on the need to bring a surgically focused hospital to the Harbour View community,” said Glynn. “State-of-the-art medical care benefits us all – from the lives it saves, to the talent it draws, to the increased economic activity it creates in our community.”
The Bon Secours Harbour View Medical Center is scheduled for completion in Spring 2025.
