It’s cold outside! Why not try something new at Rawls Museum Arts, which offers a variety of classes for teens and adults.

Make it… Wear it… Give it!

Saturday, Feb. 15, 10 a.m. to noon

Instructor: Pat McCandless

Tuition: RMA Members $30, Non-Members $35

Ages: Teen and Adult

In this class we will create a matching jewelry set. Students will use lava beads infused with lavender essential oil along with beautiful glass and semi-precious gem accents to design their wearable art. Bring a friend! All tools and supplies included.

Watercolor Play Day

Monday, March 2, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Facilitator: Sandy Lupton

Tuition: RMA Members $10, Non-Members $15

Ages: Adult

Folks have been asking for a friendly afternoon event to come and play with their watercolors, so here it is! Stop in for a quick watercolor tutorial and then enjoy the afternoon painting and making new friends. Bring watercolor paper. Students can bring their own watercolors and brushes or we have some student grade paints and brushes to share. This will be a nurturing environment for beginners to intermediate watercolorists to mingle and share in the art making process.

Drawing Blast

Saturday, March 7, 1 to 3 p.m.

Instructor: Sandy Lupton

Tuition: RMA Members $25, Non-Members $30

Ages: Teen and Adult

Students will be introduced to a fun, non-threatening way to learn how to draw, using a variety of games and techniques . Emphasis will be placed on practice, not perfection, to take the stress out of drawing and make students more likely to develop a daily drawing practice. No prior drawing skills necessary. All supplies included.

Weekly Meditation Series

Wednesdays 6 to 7 p.m., March 11, 18, 25 and April 1

Instructor: Sandy Bunch

Tuition for the Series: $50 for RMA members & $55 for non-members

Ages: Teen and Adult

Spring into new beginnings. Meditation including deep breathing and expanded awareness can help you experience many therapeutic effects. All levels; no experience necessary. Will be using folding chairs. Bring pillows if needed.

Watercolor and Meditation

Saturday, March 21, 1 to 4 p.m.

Tuition is $45 for RMA members and $50 for non-members

Instructor: Sandy Bunch

Age: Teen and Adult

Enjoy playful, free flow watercolor intuitive painting using guided meditation to tap into your creative self. Wear comfortable painting clothes or bring a smock/apron. All Supplies included.

All classes take place in the Education Outreach Building located on the Rawls Museum Arts campus at 22376 Linden St., Courtland.
