The Franklin-Southampton Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the Donna C. McCullough Chamber Scholarship to be awarded in June 2020.

Presented since 1995, this scholarship is awarded to a high school senior and honors Donna C. McCullough, who served the Chamber as executive director from 1976–2004.

“The Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting educational attainment in the Franklin-Southampton Area,” stated executive director Teresa Beale in a press release. “This scholarship recognizes an area student for exemplary involvement and service to the community.”

Selection criteria include: Minimum GPA of 2.50, community involvement, leadership and extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs employment, etc. and academic achievement. Major emphasis for selection is placed on community involvement.

Applicants also respond to the question, “What issue poses the greatest challenge for improving the quality of life in the Franklin-Southampton community, and how would you propose to tackle and resolve this issue/problem?”

Applications are now available at each area high school guidance office, the Chamber office or online at www.fsachamber.com. The application deadline is on Friday, April 3.
