Capron Elementary recently hosted a “Donuts With Grownups” Day. Children and their grownups filled the cafeteria as they enjoyed donuts and juice while mingling with fellow friends and school personnel. The breakfast celebration, held in the school cafeteria, honored the adults who have a positive influence in children’s lives.

Each adult received a packet of literacy information giving tips on simple things families can do to help their child become a better reader. The reading tips offered fun ways a child can become a happy and confident reader through the help of adults assisting them at home. It was a huge success and everyone enjoyed the day.
