Franklin High School Junior Jaden Reid has been selected to participate in the Pathways for Future Engineers Program at Virginia Tech. As part of the program, he received a full scholarship to attend an in-person summer camp held June 15-28 on the university’s Blacksburg campus. Program officials cited his strong academic performance, extracurricular involvement, and passion for engineering as key factors in his selection. While participation does not guarantee admission to Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering, students in the program receive college preparation resources and support.
