COURTLAND – Scott David Campbell, 54, passed away May 11, 2025 in his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Cambridge, Ohio, he was a son of the late David Eugene Campbell and Donna Charlene Kilburn Campbell. He was also predeceased by a son, Matthew Campbell and a sister, Cindy Stillions.

ran with 11 years of service, a retired Sergeant with the Virginia Beach Police Department with 20 years of service and the owner of Surety Services Inc. He was a member of VFW Post #4411.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 11 years, Sandra Campbell; five children, Jessica Chhura (Raman) of Chesapeake, Nick Campbell (Brittney) of Carrollton, Skylar Campbell of Suffolk, Megan McMillion (Troy) of Capron and Erica McMillion of Brodnax; and “Pa-We” to 11 grandchildren; three siblings, Debbie Shaffer of Ohio, Tammy Bailey of Alaska and John Campbell (Deanna) of Ohio.

A memorial service with military honors and police honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 18 in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Al Cruz officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to VFW Post #4411, 3385 Beaverdam Road, Franklin, VA 23851 or the Virginia Beach Police Foundation, P.O. Box 56385, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.

There will be a reception following the memorial service on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the VFW Post #4411.
