FRANKLIN – Edith McQueen Roberson, 90, passed away April 6, 2025 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Roberson was born and raised in Philadelphia and was the co-owner of Sandblasting Experts for 25 years in Virginia Beach. She moved to Sharp Point, North Carolina and was a member of Dilda Grove Free Will Baptist Church and a member of Sharp Point Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years.

She was dearly loved by her family and friends, especially all the dear friends in Sharp Point. She was sweet, but if you didn’t want an honest opinion, better not ask her. Mom or MeMaw, will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents, Raymond and Kitty and

a son, Michael Williams.

Survivors include her children: Cynthia Singer (Rick), Steve Williams (Diane), Eric Williams (Debbie), Kimberly Hornock, Susan Walton (John), Donna Campbell and Patrick Meyers, grandchildren: Michael, Christina, Melanie Lynn, Jennifer, Matthew, Jessica, Eric Jr., Joey, Jessee, Shelton, Michelle, Erin, Emily, Ryan, Micki, Kaitlynn, Glenn Jr., Joey, Jimmy, Jeffrey and Jessica. great-grandchildren: Izaiha, Malyka, Ginairo, Pacino, Christian, Gabrielle, Brayah, Linley, Sophia, Ellie Shae, Elizabeth, Isabella, Zoei, Ruby and Alexi; a sister, Marylee Brown and Michael’s widow, Linda.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.

Special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Southampton Memorial Hospital for all their wonderful care and love they gave mom, especially to Heather Berry, whom she loved and thought of as a daughter, who was also her cardiologist. Wright Funeral Home is serving the family.
