Franklin High School’s JROTC program has recognized two outstanding cadets for their dedication and performance in February. Freshman Asia Murphy and senior Danae Jordan have been named LET I and LET III Cadets of the Month, respectively.

Murphy, a first-year cadet, earned the LET I Cadet of the Month award for her exceptional enthusiasm, consistent participation and demonstrated leadership potential. According to JROTC instructors, Murphy consistently displays a positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn, setting a commendable example for her fellow cadets.

“Asia’s dedication to the program and her willingness to go the extra mile made her a clear choice for Cadet of the Month,” 1st Sgt. Robinson stated.

Murphy plans to pursue a career in nursing after graduating from high school.

Jordan was awarded the LET III Cadet of the Month award for her exemplary leadership, commitment to excellence and consistent demonstration of the JROTC core values. Jordan has proven herself to be a reliable and responsible leader, actively contributing to the success of her unit.

“Danae’s growth and commitment to service are truly inspiring,” Lt. Col. Wright said.

Jordan has expressed her intention to join the Virginia National Guard upon graduation, while attending Camp Community College testament.

Both Murphy and Jordan were recognized for their hard work and dedication during a ceremony held at Franklin High School. The JROTC program congratulates these outstanding cadets and wishes them continued success in their future endeavors.
