NEWPORT NEWS – Dennis Dickens Bryant, 68, passed away on Feb. 18, 2025 in his home. Born in Franklin on March 28, 1956, he was a son of the late Harry Flood Bryant and Elizabeth Hancock Bryant.
Dennis was a graduate of Tidewater Academy and went on to study English Literature, Biology and Spanish Language at Hampden Sydney College. He completed a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration at Trinity College and worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for 30 years before his retirement in 2011.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Nancy B. Mark; his brother, Larry Bryant, special nieces and nephews, a great-niece and great-nephew and many cousins and dear friends.
Services will be private and the family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
