IVOR – Becky Goodson-Belcher was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and Registered Nurse. She was a long-time resident of Franklin, until her untimely death on Feb. 21, 2025 at the age of 55. Becky is predeceased by her mother, Tena Arrington Goodson and her father, Joseph Wallace Goodson.
She is survived by her husband, Colin K. Belcher Jr.; her daughters, Katelin and Karen Belcher and her son Justin Belcher. Becky had one sister, Jackie Howell; she also had six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren (one on the way). She has a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was a graduate of Windsor High School and graduated from Paul D. Camp Community College as a Registered Nurse.
She was loved by everyone she met and was devoted to helping others. She loved Jesus and rededicated her life to the Lord and became a member of New Hope Baptist Church and served the Lord faithfully and loved attending Fellowship Tuesday. She often cooked for this meeting and enjoyed serving others. She was an advocate for those who were in need and was not afraid to tell you how it was. She was an overcomer and a fighter and she will truly be missed.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 1, at noon at New Hope Baptist Church, 1315 Rosewood Avenue in Franklin with the Rev. Dr. Anthony Goodwyn officiating.
