CAPRON – Dianna Lee Crain Sexton, 79, passed away Feb. 12, 2025 in Courtland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Courtland after a long illness. She was born April 2, 1945 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania to the late George and Ethel Crain.

64 in Joyner, Dianna dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for Dave and their three children. Her greatest joy came from Dave, traveling with family, making one-of-a-kind wedding dresses for Jeana, Renee and LouAnne and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren. Holidays, especially Christmas, were special for Dianna and she made sure her house reflected each season with creative decorations.
During her time in Capron, Dianna was a seamstress, childcare giver, post office clerk and town clerk. She enjoyed many hobbies including crafting, sewing, reading, putting together puzzles, hunting for gems and researching family history.
Dianna is survived by sons, Mark David (Renee) and Brian Earl (LouAnne); grandchildren, Annalise Sexton, Kayla Barlow and Gabriella Sexton; sisters, Wanita Kring, Alice Jane Richardson and Karen D’Ovidio; brother, Ricky Crain, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 in Capron Cemetery with Pastor Ron Carr officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin.
