Structure fire occurs at Franklin Collision Center

A structure fire occurred Monday evening, Feb. 17, in the front office of Franklin Collision Center. Responding firefighters were able to prevent major damage to the structure and contents.
Capt. Tim Dunn, public information officer for Franklin Fire and Rescue (FFR), said that the call was received as a structure fire at 8:32 p.m., and FFR responded to 106 W. 4th Ave. in Franklin. No injuries were reported, and crews had the fire under control at about 9 p.m. Units cleared the scene at 3:11 a.m.
“The building structure was not damaged badly and the content damage was minimal,” Dunn added.
He said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Calls to Franklin Collision Center that went to voicemail on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 18, were greeted by a message that stated, “We are closed due to a fire in the front office. No vehicles were affected by the fire. We will be in touch with each of our customers in the next few days.”
Franklin Fire and Rescue received assistance in response to the fire by Hunterdale Volunteer Fire Department, Carrsville Volunteer Fire Department and Courtland Volunteer Fire Department.
