FRANKLIN – Celeste Spence Phillips, 76, passed away Feb. 10, 2025 in her home. She was born in Conway, North Carolina on Aug. 5, 1948 to the late Otis Eugene Spence and Lillie Mae Warren Spence.
Celeste was a graduate of Northampton County High School in North Carolina and Chowan College. She worked at Georgia Pacific from 1968 to 1985 and retired from Union Camp Corporation as a customer service specialist in the particleboard department with 20 years of service.
Left to cherish her memory is a son, Brian Spence Phillips of Franklin; three sisters, Linda Nash of Greenville, North Carolina, Pat Hedspeth of Raleigh, North Carolina and Donna Griffin of Franklin and nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
