COURTLAND – Hazel Jennings Moore, 87, passed away Nov. 20, 2024 in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born in Nelson County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Ruby Jennings Martin. She was also predeceased by her husband, Christian Wells Moore; two brothers, Trent and Billy Jennings; a sister, Elizabeth Thomas (Al); and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Moore. Hazel was a bookkeeper for C.W. Moore and Sons Logging LLC.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Hazel Elizabeth McFadden (Billy); four sons, Ronald Lewis Moore, Samuel Christian Moore (Theresa), Tim
othy Wells Moore (Pamela) and Daniel Trent Moore (Annetta); eight grandchildren, Joseph Moore (Lisa), David Moore (Robin), Jason Moore (Amy), Andrew McFadden (Heather), Christine McFadden, Kevin Moore (Jessica), Kaye Moore and Dale Moore (Kelsey); 12 great-grandchildren, Hunter Edwards (Kayla), Christian Moore, Jacob Moore, Rebecca Moore, Chase McFadden, Justin Moore, Jackson Moore, Benjamin Moore, Grayson McFadden, Parker McFadden, Bryleigh Moore and Emery Moore; three great great grandchildren, Paighton Scott, Brady Scott and Ashton Edwards.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24 in Windsor Seventh-Day Adventist Church with her son, Pastor Samuel Moore, officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church and suggests that memorial donations be made to Windsor Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 26363 Walters Highway, Windsor, VA 23487.
