The Virginia Hound Heritage continues their support for our local schools and athletic association athletes. Southampton Academy was recently one of the proud recipients of a donated AED Defibrillator. This medical device is used for the sudden onset of cardiac arrest symptoms and is designed for easy use while analyzing the heart’s rhythm to determine if an electrical shock or defibrillation is needed. Having the additional AED device on campus allows Southampton Academy to be better equipped in the event of an emergency and could potentially save the life of a player or spectator.
