The fifth grade students of Nottoway Elementary School hosted their very own Amazon.com-inspired “Prime Day” with their math teacher, Alisha Jenkins, as they learned all about prime and composite numbers.
An NES news release noted that the students were given a calendar, and they were tasked to solve for the prime days within the upcoming month. The students then took each number and used their mathematical strategies to determine if the number was prime or composite.
“Keep up the great work, Nottoway Cougars,” school officials said.
