CONWAY, North Carolina – Pearl Dunlow Brown, 82, passed away Sept. 9, 2024 in The Gates House. Born and raised in Boykins, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Hurley Dunlow and Samantha Raynor Dunlow. She was also predeceased by her husband, John Alton Brown; two infant children, Melissa

and Bradley Askew; a sister, Mildred W. Vaughan and a brother, Luther Lewis Dunlow.

Pearl was a graduate of Boykins High School and Paul D. Camp Community College. She was a retired secretary for Union Camp with 35 years of service and a former secretary for Conway Baptist Church where she was a member.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Mitch Pearson (Jacqueline); a sister, Helen D. Caldwell; a grandson, Brandon Pearson; three great-grandchildren, Te’ Yana, Za’ Kari, and A’ Myiah and a great-great grandchild, Avayah Pearson.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13 in Wright Funeral Home with Pastor Willie McLawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery in Boykins. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Conway Baptist Church.
