CARRSVILLE – Norman Brian Spivey, 67 of Carrsville, Virginia passed away at home surrounded by family on June 17, 2024. He was the son of the late, Delmar L. Spivey Sr. and Eva Carroll Spivey. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Wilkins and brother, Delmar Spivey Jr.

Brian enjoyed working on the farm and woodworking. He showed a special love and care for all his animal

s. But Brian loved his grandkids most of all.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine C. Spivey; daughters, Mitzi Carr (Phillip Sr.) and Shannon Hopko (Joseph IV); son, Eugene Spivey (Madison); grandchildren, Phillip Jr. (Becca), J.P., Edythe and Trinity; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 22 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Isle of Wight County Animal Services in honor of Brian’s love for animals. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
