May 16 the High Street Seniors were treated to Senior’s Talent Show. It was organized and M.C.’d by Katheryn Cutchins and videoed by Ellen Rose. Peggy Bynum and Avis Shockley played on the piano, a medley of hymns, bringing a standing ovation. Betty Powell and Kathryn sang “Amazing Grace” and later “Mansion on the Hill.” Brenda Smith followed with “Thru the Eyes of a Child” and “Crazy.” All were beautifully done. Archie Bowen, as Billy Graham, did an amazing job on a small sermon and prayer
Later there was a visit from Minnie Pearl dancing to a bluegrass tune. She said “Howdy, I’m so glad to be here.” Minnie told the group about her family lives in Grandy Switch. Kathryn finished the show with some jokes.
